Henry’s Siesta

Henry

Here is the latest addition to our garden population, Henry the Hedgehog.

It looks like Henry is living at the bottom of the garden (along with the fairies) in an area we like to call the wildlife section (or the bit we haven’t got round to weeding yet).

We are not too sure if Henry is a Henry or a Henrietta but it’s easier to type Henry.  We think that he has hoglets to feed as he is very busy decimating the slug and worm population, which has been taking up a lot of his time and energy.

So, we looked hedgehogs up and it seems that they are quite partial to dry cat food, which fortunately we have in abundance.

This photo shows Henry after his first cat biscuit meal, and it appears that he ate so much that all he could manage to do was go to sleep.  It took him several hours to work his way back down the garden because every few steps he went back to sleep in the sun.
